Another name for this shape is the diamond shape. Being the luscious apple that you are, you tend to be top heavy with slimmer bottom. When you gain weight it goes straight to your abdomen, bust and arm areas. Just like the different apples out there, so are there many different apple shaped women, each bearing all sorts of different curves.
You don’t have to have a fuller body to be this shape. If the ratio of your shoulders is generally larger then your hips and you don’t have a well-defined waist, you are still an apple. Because apples tend to have broad shoulders and bigger bust, the goal is to take attention away from the top-heavy area and bring it down to your shapely legs.
